BENTONVILLE, Ark. --Wal-Mart is planning to continue its major expansion plans next year.
The world's largest retailer says it will open between 220 and 230 new Supercenters plus another 50 or so discount stores.
Wal-Mart also plans to open 25 to 30 new Neighborhood Market grocery stores and 35 to 40 new Sam's Clubs warehouse stores.
Thirty of the Wal-Mart stores will replace existing stores, the company announced, and 140 of the new Supercenters and 20 of the Sam's Clubs will replace existing stores.
In its international division, Wal-Mart plans to open 130 to 140 new stores in existing markets.
