PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT)- A Greene County organization that provides food assistance is receiving some assistance too.
Thursday the Witt House in Paragould was approved by the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and the Rice Depot to receive assistance.
The assistance came in the form of 400 pounds of food from the food bank for $68.
Director Angie Gage says that while the assistance is an important move for the Witt House, she also says that donations are still needed. Gage says that the Witt House needs canned meats, peanut butter, easy to prepare meals and mashed potatoes among other items.
The Witt House is located next to the First United Methodist Church in Paragould.
