RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – One person was killed, and two others sent to the hospital after a car is T-boned by a gravel truck in Randolph County.
The accident happened on Highway 62 at Holsher Lane around 11am Friday morning.
According to the Arkansas State Police, 25-year-old Justina Looney was killed after she pulled into the path of an oncoming semi-truck carrying gravel. Her 3-year-old daughter was taken to a local hospital but was not injured.
The driver of the semi-truck, Jimmy Brown of Imboden was treated and released from the hospital.
The gravel truck flipped over after hitting Looney, and Looney's car then caught fire. ASP reports Looney was not wearing her seat belt.
