FEMA: Need to keep contact info current for aid

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Federal disaster officials say Arkansas storm and flood victims have to keep their contact information current in order to receive assistance.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency said Sunday that people who have applied for aid must keep FEMA and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management up to date with a current mailing address and phone number.

Also, the agencies say that aid applicants need to keep banking and insurance information current. Disaster assistance funds may be provided via direct deposit.

Aid applicants can contact FEMA by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362), or online at www.disasterassistance.gov . FEMA's smartphone web address is m.fema.gov.
