Marshall McDaniel, a Jonesboro High School football player, wanted to get up after he was tackled in a state playoff game and knocked unconscious on the field. Turns out medical professionals on the sidelines made the right call when they did not allow him to move, carefully loaded him on a stretcher, and sent him to the hospital. Had Marshall moved even in the slightest, he could have been paralyzed from the neck down. Tonight on Region 8 News at 10, Diana Davis tells Marshall's story of a journey that is nothing short of a miracle.
Flood victims speak out on stolen belongings
Over the past couple of weeks, residents who have flood damage have been pulling out their furniture, appliances, and personal belongings and laying them out on their front lawns and under their carports. Tonight on Region 8 News at 5 and 6 Brandi Hodges will speak with a resident who says things were taken from her yard, and tell you what police are doing to put a stop to thefts similar to this one.
Parks damaged in flood, clean-up process begins
The recent flooding not only did damage to homes and buildings but also city parks. Coming up on Region 8 News at 5 and 6, Justin Logan will have the latest on when the Riverfront Park in Pocahontas will re-open and the dangers the flood waters may leave behind.
