CARDWELL, MO (KAIT) – As the owners of Mr. T's Liquor Store on Highway 412, Bonida and Bob Poynor are used to handing out lottery winnings to customers.  Recently, they were the ones collecting the big bucks.

Last month Bonida received a phone call from the store manager saying they had sold a winning Lotto ticket.  Poynor said her husband was on his way and told the manager, "make sure and check his tickets."

A few moments later the manager called back.  She asked Bonida, "Are you sitting down?"

Apparently, Bob's Quick Pick numbers matched the winning Lotto numbers drawn to share the April 20 jackpot worth $2.8 million.

Bonida says, "I'm still floating on cloud nine.  It's a wonderful thing."

The Poynors, who are semi-retired, say they plan to share the winnings with their 37 employees.

The store also received a bonus check for $14,000.
