JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A man arrested in May for shooting a woman twice, made his court appearance before a Craighead County Judge Monday.
According to the Craighead County Prosecutor's Office, Bobby Joe Bohannon had his case continued until Friday August 26.
Jonesboro Police say at 5:45am on May 19, officers responded to a shooting at 1812 Cedar Heights. When police arrived they found 22-year-old Deja Wallace suffering from two gunshot wounds. Wallace was responsive and told police she was shot by the father of her child. She was transported to St. Bernards Hospital for treatment.
Police arrested 36-year-old Bobby Joe Bohannon of Osceola, at the scene. Bohannon is charged with criminal attempt to commit capital murder, aggravated residential burglary, possession of a firearm by certain persons, and interference with emergency communications in the first degree.
A judge set his bond at $1,000,000, and he is set to appear again before a judge on Friday August 26.
