Jonesboro Chamber Unveils New Logo

October 3, 2003 - Posted at: 8:00 a.m. CDT

JONESBORO, Ark. -- The Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce officially became the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce after unveiling its new logo at the 88th annual meeting of the organization last (Thursday) night.

The name change is a reflection of the organization's interest in serving as a regional hub in northeast Arkansas, and reflects a desire to forge a spirit of cooperation with chambers of commerce throughout the region, including, but not limited to, Walnut Ridge-Hoxie, Pocahontas, Paragould, Hardy and Mountain Home.

Incoming Chamber Board Chairman John Freeman was quoted in a chamber-issued release as saying, "There wasn't much hesitation to make the move to the new name.  It already fit the scope of our operation and it will more accurately depict our goals for the future."
