LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Mourners are filing past the flag-draped casket of former Governor Sid McMath this afternoon in the State Capitol rotunda.

Among those who paid their respect was former Governor Jim Guy Tucker.  Tucker said McMath was one of his inspirations and a reason he decided to enter politics.  McMath's wife Betty and his two daughters, three sons, and other family greeted visitors as they filed by.

A U.S. Marine Corps honor guard was present to honor McMath's service in World War Two and later in the Reserves.  There is a display of medals and other military effects displayed next to the casket, which sits beneath four portraits of McMath at different times in his life.
