Local art project turns profit for Cub Scouts

BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) - The Brookland Elementary School Playground gained some greenery today thanks to a local Cub Scout group.

The Brookland Cub Scout Pack 89 was rewarded by Sartin's Lawn Service for their outstanding art projects. One of the projects created was recently displayed at the Mall at Turtle Creek. Den Leader Brad Hyde says this project has been and will be beneficial to the Scouts.

"What really will impress them is when they can come here years later and they can show their kids who will go to school here and those other kids, 'Hey, look, this is the tree when I was your age that we planted because we were recycling for you,'" Hyde said.

The Cub Scout Pack created a deception of a city being eaten by a dinosaur as their art project for Earth Day.
