Commission meets to get the latest on NE AR community

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT)- An Arkansas commission that tracks community progress met in Paragould Thursday.

Each month the Arkansas Economic Development Commission meets in a different part of the state to stay current on the progress of communities.  On Thursday they met at the Paragould Community Center.

AEDC Communications and Marketing Director, Joe Holmes said that meetings like this are good for the commission in order to learn from other parts of the state.  Holmes also said that knowing about the educational initiatives and economic development across the state will make it better.

Commissioners listened to presentations by representatives from the Greene County Tech School District, the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation and Arkansas State University.
