Mitch Mustain signs with CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Former Arkansas and Southern

California quarterback Mitch Mustain has signed with the Hamilton

Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.

The team announced the signing in a release on its website.

Mustain, a former prep standout at Springdale (Ark.) High School

and Gatorade National Player of the Year, was 8-0 as a starter for

the Razorbacks in 2006 before transferring to USC.

He served as the backup to Trojans' quarterback Matt Barkley the

last two seasons, throwing for 505 yards and three touchdowns in

limited action.

Mustain was arrested on suspicion of selling prescription drugs

in California in February, but the charges were later dropped.
