ASU announces 2011 summer basketball camp schedule

JONESBORO, Ark., (6/3/11) – The Arkansas State men's basketball team has announced their upcoming camp schedule for summer 2011.

The Red Wolves will again offer a team and individual camp as well as a Little Wolves Day camp. Counselors for the camps will be members of the Red Wolves basketball team and coaches. Registration for the camps can be made at

Team Camp gets underway on Saturday June 18 and will consist of a one-day camp for high school age boys. The camp will run from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and teams will be guaranteed a minimum of three games and will be held in the brand new Red Wolf Center. Cost per team for Team Camp is $150.

ASU will offer an Individual Day Camp which runs from June 27-30. This camp is for boys in grades 5-12 and will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will be held at the HPESS Building in the ASU basketball practice facility on the second floor. The cost for the camp will be $215 per camper and includes lunch, t-shirts and drill work by the ASU camp staff.

All camps will include proper stretching and warm-up including individual skill instruction for all campers in dribbling, passing, rebounding, shooting and team defense. There will be contests held between campers and they will have the opportunity to play in 3-on-3 and 5-on-five games. Campers will be grouped together according to age and grade.
