JONESBORO, AR -- A man convicted in Jonesboro of capital murder wants a new trial based on the comments of a juror.
Joel Holloway was sentenced last week to life in prison without parole for killing his cousin's wife.
A lawyer for Holloway says a juror reported that she voted ``guilty'' only because she wanted to get out of the jury room so she could take her diabetes medicine.
The juror held out for four-and-one-half hours before changing her vote.
Defense attorney David Rees said the juror called him and said she eventually voted to convict because she desperately needed to leave. Rees asked the judge to conduct a hearing within ten days.
