70-year-old man among those arrested on meth charges

CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Cross County Sheriff's deputies continue to crack down on meth. This week they arrested six people on various drug charges, including a 70-year-old man.

On Tuesday, June 7, Deputy Glenn South arrested four men during a traffic stop. Arrested were 70-year-old Curtis Wayne Moss of Wynne, 59-year-old Timmy Lee Smith of North Little Rock, 45-year-old Kenneth Watson and 59-year-old Dickey Winders both of Earle. All are charged with possession of pseudoephedrine.

Moss was also charged with fictitious tags and no proof of insurance.

All are free on $2,500 bond, except for Watson.

That same day deputies arrested 29-year-old Justin Floyd Smith of Parkin.

He's charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. All are felonies.

His bond was set at $50,000.

On Wednesday, 47-year-old Brent Qualls of Harrisburg was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He's being held in lieu of $2,500 bond.
