CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – Caruthersville police Friday arrested a woman they say stabbed another woman.
Officers were responding to a call on East Haven regarding a fight when they were stopped by someone taking a 22-year-old African-American woman to the hospital. They told police the woman had been stabbed during a fight. She was admitted to a local hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
The suspect, described as a 23-year-old African-American woman, later turned herself in at the police station. She is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action. The suspect's identity has not been released pending the filing of formal charges by the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney.
