Central Arkansas names new tennis coach

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - The University of Central Arkansas has a new

coach to lead the tennis program.

Athletic Director Dr. Brad Teague on Monday announced the hiring

of Jeff Borengasser as head coach for the women's team.

While at Westminster College, Borengasser led the men's team

there to six St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles

in seven years, while his women's squad won the league twice. He

compiled a men's record of 65-37 and a women's record of 51-46 from


Since September, Borengasser has been an instructor at Burns

Park Tennis Center in North Little Rock.

Borengasser has a bachelor's degree in exercise science from

Truman State University. His earned a master's degree in health and

human performance from Iowa State University.
