POINSETT COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – An 18-year-old Trumann man has been arrested and charged with raping a 4-year-old boy.

According to the Trumann Police Department, 18-year-old Paul Blagg was arrested and charged with raping a 4-year-old boy on June 6.

Police say the 4-year-old was staying with Blagg that day, and was picked up from Blagg's house by his mother. The child told her a statement that led her to believe that Blagg had sexually assaulted her son.

The mother called police and they started collected evidence, and conducted interviews at the Child Advocacy Center in Searcy. According to the police report, their staff determined a positive finding of sexual abuse.

Blagg was arrested Tuesday afternoon, and appeared before a Poinsett County judge Wednesday where a $100,000 cash bond was set. Blagg is still in the Poinsett County Detention Center, and is set to appear again in court on July 25.
