Arkansas Travelers manager Bill Mosiello new assistant coach at Tennessee

NORTH LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Arkansas Travelers manager Bill Mosiello is leaving professional baseball to become an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee.

The Travelers front office said Friday that Mosiello told the team after Thursday night's game.

Mosiello is to manage Friday night's home game against Northwest Arkansas, which will be his last as a Traveler. He led the Travs to a 36-31 record in the first half of the season and locked up a playoff spot by winning the first half Texas League North Division.

The Travelers say Todd Takayoshi will become Travs manager on Saturday and until July 31 when Bobby Mitchell will take over. Mitchell is to lead the team for the rest of the second half and into the playoffs.
