12-year-old boy dies in Saturday morning car crash

HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT)-  A two vehicle accident in Poinsett County Saturday kills a 12-year-old boy.

According to Arkansas State Police, Nichols K.C. Jones of Harrisburg died after being ejected from the vehicle he was riding in.  The crash report states that driver Mark Garrison also of Harrisburg failed to yield at a stop sign near Highway 1.  Garrison was then struck by another driver on the highway, causing it to overturn. 

Seven-year-old Isaac D. Garrison was also in the vehicle Garrison was driving.  Mark and Isaac Garrison, along with the driver of the second vehicle were not injured. 

Police indicate that all of those in Garrison's vehicle were not wearing a seat belt.  The driver of the second vehicle, however, was wearing his seat belt.

The accident occurred just before ten o'clock Saturday morning.
