Ivan Tate to play baseball for WBC Eagles

Ivan Tate II, an outfielder from Little Rock, Ark., will carry on his baseball career at Williams Baptist College. Tate signed his commitment on June 23.

Tate will be patrolling the outfield at Shell Field. His accolades include Most Valuable Player of the 2009 Wally Hall Wooden Bat Tournament. Also, Tate was selected as All-Conference in 2010, as well as All-State in 2011.

He is the son of Kimberly Green of Little Rock, Ark, and Ivan Tate Sr. of Maumelle, Ark. He is a graduate of Little Rock Central High School.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
