Poplar Bluff's Ben Hansbrough signs professional contract - KAIT Jonesboro, AR - Region 8 News, weather, sports

Poplar Bluff native and former Notre Dame All-American guard Ben Hansbrough tells KAIT sister station KFVS that he has signed his first professional contract with a team in Germany.

Hansbrough has signed a one-year contract with FC Bayern Muenchen which is based in Munich.

Hansbrough was Big East player of the year at Notre Dame and a 2nd team All-American.

He averaged 18-points and 4-assists for the Irish last season.

Hansbrough will leave for German in August.
