Anderson: Transfers part of transition

FAYETTEVILLE ( - First-year Arkansas basketball coach Mike Anderson has had his share of transition during the first three months on the job.

Anderson, who was hired March 26 to replace John Pelphrey at the helm of the Razorbacks, has already endured an NCAA penalty that will eliminate a scholarship next season and multiple transfers.

"When you come in a situation where transition is taking place, a lot of things are taking place – some good, some bad," Anderson said Monday on a conference call for SEC basketball coaches. "But I'm coming to a place I'm very familiar with in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and looking forward to the challenge of getting this program back to the top."
