Toy drum recalled due to lead paint standards

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The Consumer Product Safety Commission along with Cost Plus Inc., is recalling about 1,000 wooden animal drum toys due to a violation of lead paint standards.

According to the CPSC, the paint used on the drum is in excess of the maximum allowable level of 90ppm, which is a violation of the federal paint standards.

The toy drum was sold between December 2010 and May 2011. Consumers are asked to stop using the toy immediately and contact Cost Plus Inc., for a full refund.
