LITTLE ROCK, AR --Starting July fourth, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will ban all smoking on its campus and hospital grounds.

Chancellor I- Dodd Wilson sent an e-mail to employees yesterday. The ban includes seven Area Health Education Centers and seven Centers on Aging across the state.

Wilson says the move is the only responsible decision the school could make.

He says that U-A-M-S's goal is to improve health in the state and it must practice what it preaches.

Smoking was already banned in all buildings and restricted to six outdoor smoking areas on the Little Rock
