Jonesboro woman dies Saturday morning after being rear ended

BAY, AR (KAIT)-  A Jonesboro woman has died after being air lifted from a two vehicle crash on Friday.

According to Arkansas State Police, Mary Nell Mooney, 62, died at the MED in Memphis early Saturday morning.  Police say Mooney was traveling on U.S. Highway 63 near Bay Friday at about 2:30 in the afternoon, and while slowing down she was struck from the rear by Athena Vance also of Jonesboro.

Mooney was air lifted after the crash.  Her passenger Randi Mullins was injured along with Vance.  Both were taken to St. Bernards Hospital.

According to the crash report, all of those involved were wearing seat belts.
