Razorback safety Tramain Thomas named to Thorpe Award watch list

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas safety Tramain Thomas has

been named to the watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award, which honors

the nation's top defensive back.

Thomas, a senior from Winnie, Texas, was named second-team

All-Southeastern Conference last season and has seven career

interceptions. He led the Razorbacks with four interceptions last

season and had a career-high 83 tackles. He made a career-high 14

tackles in a win at Mississippi State.

The Jim Thorpe Award watch list is chosen by a screening

committee, and players can be added during the season. The award
