CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – Caruthersville Police say a man suspected of breaking into a woman's home took more than just her cold, hard cash.  They say he also stole her frozen food.

Just before 4 Saturday morning, officers were called to the Walker Terrace Apartments.  According to the police report, the victim told officers she awoke to find a man in her house.  The man allegedly demanded money from her and threatened to kill her if she didn't comply.  The woman says after she gave the man everything she had he took all of the frozen food from her freezer.

Later that day officers arrested Allen D. Smith, 46, of Caruthersville.  He's charged with first degree robbery and armed criminal action.  Smith is being held at the Pemiscot County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bond.
