Arkansas raises $6.5 million through seating plan

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas has raised $6.5 million and

increased its membership in its fundraising Razorback Foundation by

20 percent during the past 18 months.

School officials announced Monday that the increased revenue

raises the annual support of Arkansas' athletic programs through

the foundation to more than $18 million, which is ninth in the

Southeastern Conference in total annual revenue.

The new income and membership was raised as part of the school's

Answer the Call initiative, a decade-long fundraising plan

announced last year. The first phase of the plan included an

updated seating equity plan for home football games at both

Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville and War Memorial Stadium in

Little Rock.

It led to 2,687 new foundation members, more than 18,000 phone

calls and more than 3,900 seat selection appointments.
