HOT SPRINGS, AR (AP) - Garland County prosecutors have formally charged a man with first-degree murder in the death of a woman in May.
Randy Gay is accused of fatally shooting Connie Snow following an argument at a logging site in May. A circuit court judge on Monday appointed an attorney to represent Gay.
KTHV reports that witnesses allege Gay arrived with Snow at the site and the pair argued before Gay pulled out a long gun and fired at her. The witnesses told authorities Gay placed Snow in the back of his pickup truck and drove off.
He was arrested May 11 in Mountain Pine. Sheriff's deputies found Snow several days later in the Ouachita National Forest.
Court records show Gay previously was convicted of murder in 1978 and in 1992.
