- Heat and electric companies
Approximately 400-500 City Water and Light (CWL) customers experienced power outages yesterday because of a heavy load demand and exposure to weak spots in the system. Bryan McCormick finds out how the electric company is planning to combat outages in the future and offers tips to help lower electrical demand tonight on Region 8 News at 5 and 6.
- Mississippi County garden project
A new grant in Mississippi County is aimed at teaching the African American community how to live healthier. It's a program called "body and soul" where a pathway provided by the church is used to reach out to people in the community. Tonight on Region 8 News at 6 and 10, Brandi Hodges will speak to Mississippi County coalition leader Elroy Brown about this program and how it will be a positive benefit to the community.
- Batesville assault
A Batesville woman is severely beaten in the parking lot of a local country club, and police are trying to find answers. Learn more about this story tonight on Region 8 News at 6 and 10 with Josh Harvison.
