JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin is ready to get the ball rolling on some local projects. He held a special meeting Tuesday hoping to get the projects on the next city council agenda.
A public works committee meeting discussed several city projects, including the Fuel Depot and the administration building for the Street and Sanitation Department.
Both facilities are currently under construction and will be located on Lacey and Dan Avenue.
But, Mayor Perrin told Region 8 News those aren't the only promising projects being discussed.
"Also very important is the railroad spur that will go in to actually service Nordex Manufacturing," Perrin said.
The Nordex project has been made possible through a state grant.
The next city council meeting will take place next Tuesday.
