WASHINGTON, D.C. (KAIT) – Additional retails sales is prompting the Consumer Product Safety Commission to re-announce the recall of a portable heater due to fire hazards.
According to the CPSC, about 13,000 Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters are being recalled again because the oscillating mechanism in the heaters can short out, causing a fire hazard.
Meijer has received two reports of incidents involving fires that resulted in property damage.
Consumers are asked to stop using the heaters immediately and return them to the store for a full refund.
