Hogs to play Sooners on hardwood in 2011

FAYETTEVILLE (NWAOnline.com) - The Arkansas basketball team will travel to Oklahoma December 10, according to the Sooners' nonconference basketball schedule which was released Thursday.

It will mark the fifth time the Razorbacks and Sooners have met on the hardwood in as many seasons. It was unclear whether the regional programs would meet again once their four-year contact ran out following last season's game in Fayetteville – a 74-64 Arkansas win.

The Razorbacks lead the all-time series with the Sooners 14-11.

Next season's game will feature a pair of first-year coaches at the respective schools. Mike Anderson was hired to replace John Pelphrey at Arkansas in March, while Lon Kruger was hired to replace Jeff Capel at Oklahoma in April.
