Rashad Danzy commits to Williams Baptist Basketball

From Williams Baptist College

Coach Josh Austin and the men's basketball team at Williams Baptist College have captured a commitment from Rashad Danzy.

Danzy grew up playing in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was highly recruited out of high school, having offers from several NCAA Division I and II schools. After considering his options, he chose to attend Eastern Oklahoma State University.

After recruiting Danzy out of high school, and when he decided to transfer from EOSU, Austin received word that Danzy was committing to Williams. The coach said he is excited about the 6'7'' post player's athletic ability.

Danzy will provide depth and experience on the inside for the Eagles, according to Austin. The coach said he believes that Danzy will be a mismatch for teams the Eagles play against in the post area, and he thinks Danzy's "work horse" mentality in the weight room and on the court will help make him a special player for Williams basketball.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
