Doug Gabriel joins Gene to announce new project
BRANSON, MO — The multi-faceted Fred Travalena joins Gene Williams on the next broadcast of the Gene Williams Country Television Show which will be followed by Doug Gabriel, one of Branson’s favorite performers, who announces a new project for Branson.
"Fred Travalena is known for his impressions and comedy from national television appearances to headline engagements from Atlantic City to Las Vegas and now has brought his repertoire of almost 366 celebrities, politicians and cartoon characters, all incorporated into a performance that is totally clean and hilarious to Branson at Ain’t Misbehavin’," said Gene. "Fred keeps my co-host Katie Lynn and our studio audience laughing all through his interview."
"On my next show my friend Doug Gabriel takes the opportunity to announce it first that he is starting a new show called Branson Idol, a new late night show, opening next year at the Legends Family Theatre. This will be in addition to his already successful the Doug Gabriel Show its 10th season in Branson," Gene said.
"I am delighted to provide a place through the Gene Williams Show where Branson performers such as Fred, who is a newcomer to Branson, and Doug, who is a central part of the community, can announce the up and coming events of the live entertainment capital of the world," said Gene about the only weekly television show taped in Branson about Branson.
The Gene Williams Country Television Show, sponsored by Lucas Oil Products, is currently seen in 11 markets with three more markets being added soon.
Williams is an inductee to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame and has worked with greats like Johnny Cash, the Statler Brothers, Carl Perkins, the Oak Ridge Boys, the Carter Family, Charlie Walker, Del Reeves, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Bill Carlisle, Johnny Carver, Tommy Cash, Claude King, Ronnie Session, Little Jimmy Dickens and more. He is credited with blazing many trails for country music television.
The Gene Williams Television Show is a recipient of a Telly Award, cable television’s equivalent to an Emmy. The show includes celebrity interviews and videos from the biggest, hottest names in country music such as Shania Twain, Trace Adkins, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Faith Hill and more. Williams is planning a one hour Christmas special which will feature Mickey Gilley and a Christmas greeting from the Oak Ridge Boys among other celebrities.
Williams’ co-host is Katie Lynn, an award winning vocalist who has held the Branson Entertainment Awards Best Support Vocalist for the past three years for her work in the Mickey Gilley Show.
