JONESBORO, AR - One of the most popular songs on the country music charts today is Tim McGraw's 'Real Good Man.'
One Region 8 woman has launched her own search for a real good man. 33-year-old Rachelle Mahoney of Cherokee Village (left) says she got the idea from the current run of popular reality dating shows like ABC's 'The Batchelor.'
Mahoney was a guest this morning on KISS-FM, where she gave show hosts Brandon Baxter and Ali King and their listeners some ideas of just what she has in mind for her perfect man. "I'm looking for someone who is financially stable and settled. Someone who is very passionate about life, and that likes to go out and try new things and really enjoys life," said Mahoney.
Mahoney is also collecting valuable prizes for a dowry for the contest winner. The 22-week contest officially begins with a kick-off party in Horseshoe Bend on December 13.
Rachelle Mahoney is a single mom who was born and raised in Little Rock before moving to Sharp County. She has been divorced for almost five years and has a 7-year-old daughter. Mahoney is studying social work at Arkansas State University, and plans to acquire her Master's degree and licensure to provide child and family counseling. Some of her interests include outdoor activities, volleyball, gardening, cooking, sewing, traveling and reading. She says she's searching for a man who is spiritual, goal-oriented, affectionate, loves children, romantic and fun.
