Police: man tries to sell stolen generator at pawn shop

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Imboden resident Curtis Richey was arrested for theft of property and hindering apprehension.

The arrest came after Dusten Robert Haynes and a male juvenile stole a generator in Smithville. Richey was implicated in trying to sell the generator at a pawn shop in Jonesboro.

When Haynes and the juvenile found out police knew about the robbery, they went to Richey's residence in Imboden.

When police arrived, the three hid in the house then took off into the woods behind the residence. Police then located the three, and after obtaining a warrant for Richey, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
