String of armed robberies in Jonesboro could be connected

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Jonesboro Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery Monday night.

The incident occurred at 300 Baker Street in Jonesboro. Police say two masked men stormed into the home, showed their handguns and demanded money from the Hispanic family living there. No shots were fired.

The suspects were described as black men. One suspect is said to be tall and skinny with a tattoo on his right forearm. The other was described as heavy set.

Monday night's armed robbery is similar to other armed robberies currently under investigation by the Jonesboro Police Department.

On July 17, a man was shot after being robbed at gunpoint by two black men wearing masks. Earlier that week, on July 12, two women were robbed at gunpoint at the Jonesboro Surgery Center by two black men wearing masks. That incident occurred just blocks from Monday night's incident.
