FULTON COUNTY, AR (KAIT)- Fulton County Sheriff's Office has released information stating that a body found in rural Fulton County is believed to be that of missing Paragould teen Zach Ware.
According to the news release, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit located a body believed to be that of Zach Ware at 7:45 p.m. Friday after a brief search in the area where Zach's truck was located. The sheriff's office indicates the body was pronounced dead at the scene by the deputy coroner.
Evidence recovered at the scene indicates the body found to be that of Zach Ware, according to the sheriff's office. However, the body will be sent to the state medical examiner's office to determine positive identification and cause of death.
According to Paragould Police Corporal Jack Hailey, Zach's mom got an alert from AT&T that Zach's cell phone was turned on at 3:25 Friday morning. The alert came from 9 Mile Ridge Road in Hardy.
According to the news release, deputies followed up on leads and talked to witnesses in the area. Zach's 2001 Dodge truck was then found Friday evening at around 5:30 p.m. on Rock House Road. Arkansas Department of Corrections K-9 unit, Baxter County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit and the Arkansas State Police Special Agents were called in to help in the search of the area.
Zach Ware was last seen Monday afternoon, he went to football practice but did not make it to work or to a football scrimmage.
