JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police have arrested one man in an overnight shooting in Jonesboro that sent one man to the hospital.
According to Jonesboro Police, Jayquan Meredith was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting that took place near the intersection of Oak and Patrick Street late Wednesday night.
Police say the victim was shot in the leg around 11:45 Wednesday night, after the two men started fighting. The victim was taken to St. Bernard's Hospital. Police say it is not a life threatening injury.
Meredith is being charged with battery in the first degree.
No word yet on what charges Meredith is facing.
