MARKED TREE, AR (KAIT) - In Arkansas one in five state legislators do not have a college degree. This is according to a new report from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
We spoke to one of these law makers who does not have a college diploma hanging on his wall.
Representative Buddy Lovell says it does not keep him from doing his job effectively and a political science professor at ASU couldn't agree more.
However, he says just as long as their ethics are in line.
"More than anything it's probably more important to be committed to public service and an ethical commitment," says Dr. William McLean.
