JONESBORO (ASU) – Tickets for Arkansas State's season-opening football game at Illinois are now on sale at the ASU Box Office. Tickets for the Sept. 3 matchup between the Red Wolves and the Fighting Illini are priced at $50 and priority seating will be given to Red Wolf Club members and season ticket holders.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. (CT) at Memorial Stadium in Champaign. Illinois finished the 2010 season with a 7-6 overall record, 4-2 mark at home and a 38-14 victory over Baylor in the Texas Bowl. The game will be the third meeting between the two schools and the Red Wolves' sixth contest against a Big 10 opponent.
Season tickets, single-game tickets and three-game mini-packs for ASU's home games remain on sale at the ASU Box Office as well. The Red Wolves will play six home games, including non-conference matchups against long-time rival Memphis and in-state foe Central Arkansas, as part of its 2011 schedule that also features a nationally-televised game at ASU Stadium. The Red Wolves will host Florida International Oct. 18 on ESPN2.
Arkansas State will host Memphis Sept. 10 and Central Arkansas Sept. 24 in non-conference action before welcoming four Sun Belt Conference foes to ASU Stadium. Following the ASU-FIU matchup, the Red Wolves will host North Texas Oct. 29, Louisiana-Lafayette Nov. 12 and Troy in the Dec. 3 season finale.
Individual game tickets for the Memphis and Central Arkansas contests are priced at $20 for reserved bench seats and $17 for general admission seats. For the FIU, North Texas and Troy games, reserved bench seats are just $17, with general admission seats priced at $14. Specially-priced packages for groups of 25 or more are also available for as little as $9 per ticket for the Memphis and UCA games, and $7.50 per ticket for the SBC matchups.
Mini-packs are also available that include four general admission tickets to three home games. The Red Pack consists of four tickets to the Memphis, FIU and Louisiana-Lafayette games, while the Black Pack consists of four tickets to the Central Arkansas, FIU and Troy games. Mini-packs are priced at $99 each.
Season general admission seats are priced at just $75, while reserved bench seats are available for $90 and chair-back seats start at $145. The best deal in town is the family plan, available for only $180 and includes four tickets to all six home games, a savings of over $120.
All new season ticket orders will also include a specially-designed "Feel the Freeze" t-shirt for tickets purchased prior to Aug. 31.
