From Harding University
The Great American Conference women's soccer coaches have picked Southwestern Oklahoma State University to win the first ever league championship.
SWOSU received two first place votes and one second place vote for a total of eight points, two ahead of second place prediction, Harding University, which received three second place votes.
East Central University and Ouachita Baptist University tied for the third place slot. Both teams received one first place vote and two third place votes.
The 2011 campaign kicks off in the first week of September. The GAC Championship Tournament, featuring all four of the league's teams, is set for the weekend of November 4-6, hosted by the winner of the regular season.
