JONESBORO, AR (CircleTrack.com) - September's Young Racers' Club winner comes to us from Jonesboro, Arkansas. Eighteen-year-old Cheyenne Belle Loyd is a full-time student at Brookland High School and has been racing for the past six years.
Cheyenne grew up at the racetrack watching her father and brother race. As she got older, she became more interested in the sport. Her interest led to frequent visits to the family's race shop to learn about the cars and it was on one of those occasions that she shared with her father her desire to race.
Cheyenne made her racing debut during a Powder-Puff race alongside her aunt. Cheyenne's father loaned the pair his car and together the two won the event and the $100 prize. After her first experience on the track it became official; this young girl seriously wanted to race.
