COPY-Lacking tips in robberies, FBI turns to billboards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The FBI is turning to electronic billboards in its search for a man who dons a fake beard and large-brim hat before robbing banks at gunpoint.

Investigators believe the same man is responsible for seven robberies in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. The most recent was Wednesday at a Bank Midwest in Olathe, Kan.

FBI offices in Oklahoma City and Kansas City, Mo., announced Friday the suspect's pictures would be posted in several places in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

The FBI says the bureau turned to the billboards after failing to receive tips on his identity through print and broadcast media.

He's described as white, in his 20s or 30s, 5-feet-8 to 6 feet tall, 150 to 180 pounds.
