LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) -- The Arkansas Forestry Commission issued a media release Saturday suggesting several burn bans have been issued as extreme heat and dry weather conditions continue to plague parts of Region 8 and most of Arkansas. Throughout the day, local fire departments have been working to battle large grass fires.

According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, White, Cleburne, Stone, Baxter, Fulton and Sharp Counties are under burn bans until lifted by county judges. It is highly recommended if you live in these areas that you do not openly burn until the ban is lifted.

Meanwhile, all of Arkansas is under a high threat for wildfires. Most of western Arkansas is under an extreme threat.
