ASU Volleyball reports for fall camp; holds first practice

JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) – Third-year head coach of the Arkansas State Red Wolves volleyball team Justin Ingram welcomed 14 student-athletes to campus Monday including three newcomers to the program.
ASU returns 11 letterwinners and six starters from last season, including libero Megan Baska who earned Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors. The newcomers include two freshmen and one transfer.
"My staff and I have been looking forward to getting back into the gym for quite some time," Ingram said. " It's exciting to see the improvements that occurred over the summer months of playing and conditioning and we have a plan how to best utilize the team strengths."
Ingram and his coaching staff also held their first organized practice on Tuesday morning, beginning with a focus on front and back row defensive systems. The team also went through team meetings and other defensive teachings.
