The Arkansas State Women's Bowling team announced its schedule for the 2011-12 season on Tuesday. The Red Wolves will have eight regular season tournaments, the first of which begins in late October.
ASU opens its season Oct. 28-30 in Springfield, Mo., at the Greater Ozarks Invitational, hosted by the University of Central Missouri. The team will then travel to Merryville, Ind., for the Crusader Classic Nov. 11-13 and then to Huntsville, Texas, for the Sam Houston State Kat Class Dec. 2-4.
"I am looking forward to another exciting season this year," ASU head coach Justin Kostick said. "We have a lot of our core players coming back and have a nice incoming freshman class. The team the last four years has been knocking on the door for a national championship and hopefully this is the season we open the door."
ASU will host the Mid-Winter Invitational Jan. 13-15 in Jonesboro and will then travel to Lincoln, Neb., Jan. 19-21 for the Big Red Invitational. The Prairie View A&M Invitational will be held in St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 3-5, and the squad will wrap up February with the Holiday Collegiate Classic in Bessemer, Ala., Feb. 24-26.
Arkansas State will complete its the regular season at the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tenn., Mar. 16-18, and this year's NCAA Championship Tournament will be held in Cleveland, Ohio.
