The trial of a former police officer, charged in the midst of an FBI investigation called Operation Blues, has been rescheduled.

Local artists are invited to show off their work at the upcoming Beatles at the Ridge Festival.

Some crooks were apparently hungry when they broke into the concession stand at Floyd Community Park, 121 El Paso Rd. in Searcy, and stole more than $1,800 worth of items, including hot dogs and chips.

Budget concerns continue in Hoxie where water bills have doubled as the city tries to upgrade its water system.
